How-To Organize Your Paper Files - Using MyTrees Online
Page 3 of 29

After tracing family lines back several generations, we usually find many common surnames on the family tree, which can take an enormous amount of time to file your papers alphabetically. Fortunately the MyTrees.com online website can not only be a safe place to store your family names and vital dates, but it can also quickly search names and make lists.

However, a researcher's task is much more involved. It is necessary to store the supportive documents that link each individual with other relatives in the file. Storing direct, indirect, original, derivative, and circumstantial documents is easy to do. Papers should be filed according to a marriage unit in which an individual is linked to his spouse, parents, siblings, or children, and they are linked to their relatives.
