These RIN and MRIN numbers are automatically assigned to each individual
and marriage as they are data entered by the Legacy user. Let's say that you have 1,000 individuals,
and 300 families in your database. The next person you add will be assigned RIN
1001. When you add that person's spouse, the spouse will be RIN 1002, and that
couple's marriage record identification number, or MRIN will be 301. Notice in the above image how the MRIN number is directly across from the "m" on the pedigree chart. This means you can locate the direct-line families on each surname very easily by studying the pedigree chart. |
