Now let's use some examples to show you how to file materials in your Family History Notebook. Say you have an obituary for David Brown, whose MRIN is 14. Where should the obituary be filed in your notebook? If you said behind tab #14, you’re correct!

If it is an original document that you would not want to hole-punch, it could be placed in a non-plastic, archival sleeve and filed behind the tab! These come available in different weights and sizes. They really protect your papers from being torn or the ink from being lifted.
